The hot mineral spring pools have been here in one form or another for over 100 years. The Ute Indians who first settled the area knew them as “medicine” springs, frequenting them for sacred physical and spiritual healing. Later the pools were likely a gathering and bathing place for the first homesteaders. We are lucky to have the famous Heart Spring, the source of all the healing mineral water in our eight pools.
The Heart Spring pumps approximately 220 gallons per minute and comes out of the ground like an artesian well, thus naturally without the use of man-made pumps. The water is between 102 to 103 degrees Farenheit. The Heart Spring is all natural, with no added chlorine. The water then runs into an overflow system filling each of the remaining pools on the property.
The remaining hot soaking pools are chlorinated and range between 98 to 103 degrees Farenheit.
All hot pools are open year round.
Cold Weather Policy
The pools will not open if the temperature is -10 degrees Farenheit.
If the temperature drops to -10 degrees Farenheit during hours of operation, the pools will close. The pools will then reopen when the temperature rises back up to zero degrees Farenheit or above.
